Satellite Privacy Policy
Satellite remote printing app, by Islam Electric Store, Mansehra. Effective 4 October 2026.
In short: Satellite has no accounts, no ads and no tracking. Files you print are locked with your station code on your phone before they leave it. Only your own shop PC can unlock them.
What Satellite does
Satellite lets you send documents, photos and short notes from your phone to printers connected to your own Windows PC (“Satellite Station”), from anywhere with internet.
Information the app handles
- Files you choose to print. PDFs, photos, documents or text you pick or share to Satellite. They are encrypted on your phone (AES-256 with an HMAC-SHA256 integrity check) using a key made from your station code, then sent through a message relay to your PC.
- Station details. The station code, the name you give the station, and your display name are stored only on your phone.
- Printer list and print status. Your PC sends its printer names and print results back to your phone, encrypted in the same way.
We do not collect your name, contacts, location, phone identifiers or usage analytics. The app has no advertising and no third-party tracking code.
The message relay
By default, encrypted messages pass through the public relay service ntfy.sh. The relay only receives scrambled data that it cannot read. Files are deleted from the relay automatically, usually within 3 hours, and messages within 12 hours. You can switch to a different relay server, including one you run yourself, in the app’s settings.
Who can see your files
Only devices that have your station code can unlock and print your files. Keep the code private. You can make a new code on the shop PC at any time, and old codes then stop working.
Permissions
Satellite uses only the internet permission. It reads a file only when you pick it or share it to the app.
Children
Satellite is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
Deleting your data
Remove a station in the app’s settings, or uninstall the app, to delete everything stored on your phone. Uninstall Satellite Station from the PC to remove it there. No data is kept on any server of ours.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new effective date.
